bluetac.......I agree entirely.
I like the woman and admire what she has done BUT when she hijacked the Minister of whatever he was, in front of the cameras and basically forced him to make a decision, my admiration was diminished.
We have a system of Government whether you like it or not where policies are made in Parliament.
I fear that the future may hold policies being made by the popularity of a media icon in front of the TV cameras.
I like the woman and admire what she has done BUT when she hijacked the Minister of whatever he was, in front of the cameras and basically forced him to make a decision, my admiration was diminished.

My admiration for her is tempered only slightly by the fact that she's not chosen that campaign (over any other) because she believes it to be the most morally imperative - but because her dad was a gurkha so she has a family interest.
It's like when you see celebrities on quiz shows giving their winnings to a retina disease charity "because my mother was affected by retina disease" rather than because it needs or deserves the money more than any other charity.
But that's petty of me really. :-)
