I feel sorry for them. I've actually suffered from scabies on one occasion and it itches like crazy. I fell out with the friend responsible for giving it to me for quite some time because it made me feel so dirty.

Scabies is the chicken pox virus. It's not anything to do with being dirty...!

And viruses will pass quickly through any captive population

This wont work. The only active ingredient that kill scabies is Permethrin. You can wash with soap all you like!
