Was a match point penalty enough of a punishment for such a violent outburst?
Shouldn't she have been banned from taking part in the next major tournament?

Hi Berti
I'm mainly a cricket fan. It's not uncommon for a match to go 'right to the wire', only for one side to actually win when an umpire calls 'No ball' or 'Wide'. So the moment of victory is determined by a match official penalising one side because of a contravention of the rules. I can't really see a great deal of difference between that and what occurred at Flushing Meadows.
