Cases solved using DNA
Hi all, wasn't sure where to ask this.
My daughters biology coursework involves finding a well known case that was solved using DNA.I can think of a few but can't remember names. There was the one in Australia where the couple were travelling. She was being blamed for it for ages. Can anybody suggest any more please? My brain won't work this early on a Saturday.lol
TIA.

There'a an article in The Express today. Sean Hodkins...I think!! was convicted of murder in 1979 on a false confession. He was released last year after DNA evidence proved he couldn't be the killer.
The real killer committed suicide in the 80,s so his body was exhumed and was found to be the killer.

Colin Pitchfork was the first man convicted using DNA evidence in this country,he murdered 2 young girls in Leicestershire in 1986.
