He will have grounds for an appeal, saying the sentence was unduly harsh.
About time, some proper sentencing was handed out. I hope if he appeals it is turned down.

Exactly when WASN'T there zero tolerance with regards to gun crime?

I can't recall a single instance when someone found guilty of firearms offences was let off with a caution. Can anyone else?

Different judges seem to have different ideas of zero tolerance, how many have been given 32 years?
This is a weird question.

Hence the dearth of responses. There has ALWAYS been a zero tolerance attitude to gun crime in the courts. I don't understand how you came to think otherwise.
