I have to write an essay on Arthur Miller's The Crucible. The question I am basing my essay on is this:
Comment on the characters in the play who, throughout the play, have become more powerful who were once powerless. Use quotations to support your answer.
It's something like that anyway, can't quite remember it exactly! So we have only read up to the end of Act 3, so I can't use anything from Act 4 but if anyone could please help me on any quotes or just characters or ANYTHING please tell me! I am completely stuck and have no idea how I am going to write a whole essay on that.
P.S. is that all of abigail's crowd like mary warren etc?! or elizabeth proctor too? ahhh im stuck!
If you can tell me anything i would be extremely grateful!! cheers.

I did this a long time ago! I seem to remember the slave, Tituba, played an important part in encouraging the girls. being a slave she would've been "invisable" but as time went on an she was a source of information on witchcraft and therefore feeling more important . Try Cliff notes, they are very good.
