Poor service at the Gadgetshop.com
6 Answers
Just thought I would warn folks what with xmas coming up. I ordered some stuff from the Gadgetshop website and it took over 2 weeks for the order to come even though it cost £6-7 delivery, they made mistakes about stock levels even though I asked them to check they kept sending me emails saying they were delivering my order the next day or that it was in the van for delivery and three times it never arrived the next day?? So I kept having to chase via email and on the phone. In the end I got my order but on close inspection one item worth about £23 was missing. There was no packing note and no mention the item was missing, no email to tell me, so if it wasn't for me noticing it was missing, well I would have lost out. I rang them the next day to find the item was now out of stock so I still couldn't get my item. It was instock when I ordered it so someone elses order must have taken my stock item.
I thought this might help people with their shopping, I like to read reviews to know where best to spend my money if someone had warned me I wouldn't have ordered with them.

Amazon is great, especially if you subscribe to their Prime service. £48 membership but then free next day delivery for a year. Sounds pricy but it\'s amazing once you have it ... see it, like it, buy it, get it next day - a million miles away from the experience you have had with Gadgetshop.
In fact, Amazon Prime would make a good Christmas present if you had a £50 budget and were looking for something unusual. See http://www.amazon.co....y.html/ref=prm_su_lmd - the one problem with Prime is that it does not apply to Marketplace items.
I use http://www.uknetguide.co.uk/Shopping/ to check prices before buying online.

Amazon are ok with one itam but I was buying nic-nacks for my grandaughters b/day, bought 4 itams but they all came from different sources so a del/charge was on each itam. The goods I bought were £23 in total and the del/charges totaled over £12.... I won't be doing that again, so be careful out there.
