I live in what is termed a Garden Village......really an estate built in the 60's but in the countryside.......when finished each house had a tree planted in the front garden......they look beautiful when all the blossom is out...
If a tree is big enough to have caused that kind of damage, then it was most likely planted when there were far fewer cars on the road. Try to enjoy the trees instead of being so grumpy.
It is actually very rare for trees to blow down. It needs exceptional circumstances. Such circumstances that can also cause roofs to blow off houses, brick walls to tumble etc. What would you have us do. Get rid of anything that might cause danger. Sad world that would be!
