A letter of condolences from the PM to Ian Sadler, commiserating him on the death of his son, Trooper Jack Sadler, in Afghanistan has arrived almost two years late.
I think this delay was down to an error somewhere in the civil service. Yet the bereaved father is quoted as saying: "It goes to show what this present administration thinks of our soldiers."
Was that an ungracious comment, or what?

I understand his grievance but until the letters are hand delivered then something like this can always happen.
