Should this women 'get off' simply by paying the legal fees of the case, or should she now face a criminal charge against her?

AOG..the outcome of this cased was clear from the outset. I am not sure under UK law whether or not he can counter charge........I doubt it.
It must be indescribable, the emotional trauma that this Gynaecologist and his wife have been through in this case.
