Yet another British based immigrant linked to al Queda turns out to be a terrorist. Where have we gone wrong?

Thousands and thousands of foreign students come over here to attend colleges that dont even exist.

I saw a program called UK Border Police a few weeks ago and they raided a house (full of Asians) who had tons and tons of false documents and tons and tons of paperwork (letters etc) for colleges and others places of learning that dont even exist.

These people had a full time business getting people into this country using forged paperwork for places of study that did not exist, and of course when these people arrive they go "underground" and finish up working.

Those of us on this forum who moan about illegal immigrants include the fact we have organized gangs in this country whose sole purpose is to smuggle people into this country using any illegal means they can.

The UK Border Police do as much as they can, but it is like p*ssing in the Atlantic Ocean, makes so little difference.

And when we do find somone we dont want (like that piece of asylum seeking scum who killed that girl in a car when he was banned from driving) we cant even get rid of them as they invoke their "human rights". What about the human rights of the parents of that girl who was killed, nobody cares about them.

As I keep saying, we are slowly being dragged down to a third world country.
Can't really add much to the excellent post by VHG.
What I do find incredulous is that this 'student' was apparently 'on a list' but not on a no-fly list.
I'm sorry, but terrorist acts in the last 10 years now ought to mean that if you're 'on a list' (and let's face it, they're 'on a list' for very good reasons) you don't fly with ANY european/USA airline!

But I suppose that would mean breaching somebody's human rights and precipitate a massive payout via some discrimination lawyer who relishes taking on the Government, wouldn't it.......?

If he was on a list its amazing to think the info has not been given to all airlines whether operating from the UK or not. I suppose its against his human rights to be discriminated upon when we only have suspicions and don't know if he is an active member of al qaeda.

Maybe this is where the UK laws are wrong. We can't wait for him to blow up an airline to prove he is a terrorist. Instead if we have doubts either he should not have been allowed into the country or if that is too late to boot him out on suspicion.

Britain is becoming the HQ of the terrorist state of the world.
Scary, Its on the news now!
He had been here legitimately for 3 years studying engineering at University College , London. The University of London, of which University College is the largest college, is hardly a bogus institution of learning ! When, later, he sought to enter the UK to 'study' and requested a visa , his request was refused because the college named in his application was bogus. He was therefore denied entry.

We did everything right in his case, as it happens. And of course, he is not 'a British based immigrant'.
Nothing to do with the question, but I trust the medical facility in the US now caring for this guy are administering any pain reliving medication, in minute quantities (if at all).
After all, they are self-inflicted wounds.

Fred he may not be a British based immigrant because he was refused entry. But his parents who are completely innocent live here and he would have joined them if he could. MI5 are looking into his background when he was here legally to see what put him on the path to terrorism. Because of the internet terrorism is global but the seeds of his indoctrination seemed to have occured while he was here.
Like the Shoe Bomber who came across Islam during a skint at a Youth Offender Institution in South London.
Not true, Rov.
Your evidence for these assertions is where, precisely?
This is more likely to be closer to the truth.

Its not the interpretation I have read about today. He was radicalised here in the UK. In the final year of his course he changed his dress from a normal westernized garb to a long flowing gown favoured by devout muslims. He have got to face up to it. Our laws are too liberal and the free speech givinh my imans in the mosques of Britain are inciting.
