Usually after a big win they say to the papers that they will be talking to them after the "Security checks" Now apart for the obvious one of checking the serial numer on the ticket etc.... Does anyone know what other security checks they do? Because Im wondering that one of the many security questions must include where did you buy the ticket from and what time. In this time of drinking and debauchery what would happen if you won but could'nt remember ever bying the ticket, would they still have to pay you, or would they not pay you if they suspected that you had found someone elses ticket and instead wait the 6 month period for the original owneres to report it?
But craft you could narrow it down, what if you had absolutely no idea of where it came from! Maybe only someone working for the lottery could answer, but probably could'nt tell us anyway! Another mystery!
Unless there's a dispute with someone else saying you nicked their ticket I think all you need do is produce the ticket......someone once bought me some tickets as a birthday present so wouldn't have had a clue as to where they originated.
Do they also get several "teams' of lotto workers to nudge you off the road into a fiery death where they take the ticket from your charred remains so they never have to pay you? Or am i just being paranoid?
