Should this motley crew be done for Contempt of Court?

These people have refused to stand, saying it's only Allah who would command such respect?
If it were me or you, would we be taken "downstairs" for 24 hrs, this is our British Judiciary System and should have been respected, I would like to bet even the hardened criminals have had to abide by this for years, these no-hopers are laughing at Britain and all she stands for.

They are protesting at our Soldiers killing people thousands of miles away
You are blinded by your "My country right or wrong" patriotism and I suspect in no small way by the fact that they look different to you.
If this was a white anglican priest in the dock would you be making posts like this - I don't know but I doubt it.
You are entitled to your opinions - you are not entitled to air them without them being criticised

Whar planet is jake the peg on??? these people are basically livining in our country wishing death on us all, breaking the law and saying that we can't do anything because they are muslims and to challenge them would be racist! its no wonder the country is going down hill with people like you backing them up!!
everyone felt sorry for the drug smuggler who was executed in china, but at the end of the day he was dealt with by their judges and their laws as should be the case in this country, we deal with people in the same way regardless of race or religeon. They should have been sent down for contempt of court until they show the judge some respect
I could say I have Iranian friends I love dearly...but then I would be accused of "protesting too much"
well jake!
I won't be gagged by you or anyone else, I have my opinion, not racist, but I would like respect shown to all faiths and especially to the country a lot of these people were born in, Britain!

isn't it about time someone stood up to them? theres nothing in islam that says they shouldn't show respect to a judge, they are just trying it on and damaging the image of any decent muslims living here. These arnt muslims they are attention seekers ant war mongers trying to start trouble. They are laughing at out tollerance
I still believe they should allow this march, let the lovely people of WB stand very silently with a shoe in their hand, showing the sole to Anjem Choudary and the rest of them.....
Wootten Basset has said all along, theirs is to pay homage to any fallen soldier, not political as this ranter is now making it

These people are most certainly not laughing at Britain, they are treating it with the same contempt that they are treating the court. Their notion that they are being asked to stand for the judge is as misplaced as much of the rest of their ideology. In this country respect in court is afforded not to the judge or magistrates but to the Crown on whose behalf the officials act.
If the mythical “white Anglican priest” behaved similarly I would be equally enraged. In fact probably more so because I expect better things of the priest than I do of people trying their best to stir up hatred in the UK. We have enough problems without them trying.
I happen to disagree with British Forces’ activities in Afghanistan and elsewhere for various reasons too lengthy to go into here. However, the people and institutions of this country warrant respect by everybody here, be they long term resident or relative newcomers. If certain sections of our society do not like what this country does or stands for they can either do what I do – try to establish change by lobbying and ultimately through the ballot box – or they should try their luck elsewhere perhaps where their views may be more readily accommodated.
Unfortunately authorities in the UK have already made far too many allowances for such people, usually because the blanket protection provided by Human Rights legislation has stifled any action that may have been taken to moderate their behaviour. We’re now reaping the harvest of that inaction.
