Archie's murder EastEnders
19 Answers
So who murdered Archie Mitchell? (and who cares?!) I cannot seriously see how anyone can really think that Peggy can have been the killer - she's about 4'10" and Archie looked to be over 6', so Peggy probably can't even lift the Queen Vic bust, let alone get high enough to cosh Archie over the head with it. I reckon that Phil did it, although if we could reinstate the death penalty in time, then I'd suggest that Sam gets it!
Also have you noticed that at the end of each episode the actors have obviously been told to hold their last position for at least 10 seconds - it looks most peculiar!

It could be Grant. He had a contract with the BBC whereby he would make a certain amount of appearances in EE per year. Peggy went to see Grant in Portugal when she was desperate for money... Could Grant have slipped unnoticed into the Vic and murdered his stepfather, when everybody else thought he was in Portugal. Could the script writers be paving the way to write his character back into the programme?
I stopped watching Eastenders when my anti-depressants ran out - but I did see Archie getting thwacked by Queen Victoria (well when you're in someone else's house over Christmas you watch what they watch, don't you?) Anyway, I'm fascinated by all your suggestions - but what about that dog? What was his name ... Wellard? Maybe it was him, or is he already dead?
