I've only been posting here for a short while, initially I thought it was simply a question/answer forum but realised there is a bit more to it than that.
Out of fascination from what I've been reading, I've allowed myself to get embroiled in a few heated discussions and possibly made a tit of myself once or twice (I'm not used to places like this).
I have been trying to feel my way around and get the 'jist' of the way this place runs. There does seem to be some sort of 'clique' for want of a better word. Do you guys organise 'meets'? - this SOOOO much reminds me of my old CB radio days !
Anyway, there doesn't seem to be any organised structure or moderators at hand on the part of the community centred around Chatterbank so I'll introduce myself:
Hello, I am "Mustardmit" (I would prefer to give my real name but I think it's forbidden) I am a musician and music teacher, I live near London and I LOVE helping people with their unanswered questions (if I can) I'll do me best to 'play ball'. I like to think of myself as a humanitarian despite the fact that I can fly off the handle now and then -I mean well. Don't do very well with 'subterfuge' and in-house politics so excuse me if I funk up every now and then.
You're probably bored by now (if you've read this far) so I'll shut up :-)
i am also new here and sometimes find it hard to understand ,there is alot of helpful people here ,and i am sure they will be able to tell you more than i can .
welcome too from me Mustardmit - I am in Ireland - started here in 2005 - left for a few years and am back since July 2009. I suffer slightly from sleep deprevation at times - hence being on here at half 3. Cherry and myself share a love of chocolate cake - Hi cherry !
yeah love peri's chocolate cake ,forgot about your sleeping habits ,i need to get some some, peri is one of the helpful people here mustard and will always share chocolate cake ,oh by the way i'm in scotland
Anyway I will say goodnight before I start making some other piece of jewellery - I am becoming a bit obsessed. At least the kids dont have school tomorrow so dont have to be up at 7. Night cherry and mustardmit - talk soon
Well I haven't been on here for donkey's but was looking for advice so made my way back (naturally!)
I see there is still a lot of rubbish going on (the reason I went away in the first place) but it's quite nice to see all the familiar names that I was friendly with all that time ago!!!!
It's more familiarity than a clique I think, some of us have used the site for years. Although it's fair to say that some friendships are formed off line following on from AB introductins which is quite nice.
