Same here mandimoo:-( only got an inch or two of snow, and even thats started to go slushy with the sleet we had today. Just heard from my cousin and their snow is 8inch deep, they're only an hour away, its just not fair!
Around us, between Mansfield and Newark, it's still ok in the fields and woods where I walk Max fairly clean with reasonable footings. The main roads aren't too bad but the side roads are crap and the pavements are all in that dirty sloshy stage. Still it's all right sat in front of the computer with a glass of Glen Morangie and the gas turned up.
PS If you want some snow send a few wagons up and you can have as much as you can shift
Forgot to add we've had 10-12 inch of the bloody stuff
No not enjoying the weather one bit. I havnt been to the supermarket since before Christmas, and the local shops sell out of bread and milk as soon as it is delivered. Folks must think we are going to be on rations soon its ridiculous. Hope it all goes away soon, but until the temperature rises, this snow and ice aint going nowhere.
We had 7 inches of snow before Christmas which had virtually gone, then it snowed again, 4 inches this time, which is still around on the fields and gardens. Unfortunately the pavements and side roads are now just ice. I work just down the road, so have been working the whole time (no getting sent home early for me!), and whilst it's pretty to look at, it's hazardous to walk to work! I have enjoyed watching the birds feeding from my bird station, and seeing deer and a hare in the field at the back of our house, which must mean it's pretty bad up in the fells.
