It seems Finland are intending to take steps to erradicate smoking by 2020. Obviously various anti smoking measures will be put into force but ultimately if they are going to erradicate it they must be considering making it illegalat some point. Can prohibition work? Will the rest of Europe follow suit? Please try not to turn this into a pro/anti smoking row about taxation etc yada yada! I'm interested in the process and effect of attempting this.
you can not smoke in pubs and clubs over here. what some do is ,when strangers have left pub, close the doors and then the regulars can have a smoke inside.
squad why not let the owner of the pub have a choice , smoking or non smoking
Yes Squad I agree with you, But rocket science it aint, outside of pubs & bars hang
a sign saying '' you are now entering a smoking establishment'' in works places
a simple shelter outside as many pubs have done would work. people can then
make up their mind as every mature adult should be able to do.
To answer that Squad I honestly dont think it can work, it will just drive it underground
and open up a huge black market as happened in the States many years ago.
squad i took part in the official government survey, typical question would be like this
do you believe that someone should be able to eat a meal without breathing smoke in
yes or no
i gave an honest answer which was yes.
it had to be a yes of no
after the survey i ponted out that if a ban came in i would not visit any place that had a ban .
