Maybe I'm missing something here but I think he has had his account closed unfairly.
I had read most of his posts and it is clear from the style of writing and the links he posted
that this is a kid from the USA who is about 11-13 years old.
Tracking back, I saw that this was just a kid trying to be creative then posting his creations to
mostly adult strangers. That to me takes quite some trepidation especially in the light of
the scathing remarks he had to deal with.
I think this one moment of rule-breaking was pounced upon by bullies.
I have been in conversation with him away from the board and this is what he had to say:
"iM SORRY, someone on Yahoo answers i saw asked if they liked my song that i wrote saying it was theirs, so i wondered what people thought if i did that to someone saying it was mine. No harm was intended, i just wanted to see what happened. I wan't going to sing it or anything. No one will probly believe that but its the truth. I swear on well god. No harm was intended".
I have seen many people break a rule or two and get away with it ..ADULTS.
Are there double standards running here?
Looks like some scapegoating is going on here.
Shame on whoever instigated this.

Only the editors can remove people from the site. I would think twice before calling them bullies.
Quite why one person, who has admitted to lying and claiming another person's work as their own, makes you react to this degree I do not understand.
Besides this, are you not Mustardmit? If you are, you most certainly cannot claim the moral high ground for what you said about another poster.

Have to admit I was a bit surpised to notice he'd had his posts removed. From what I can gather he posted some song lyrics/poems and tried to pass them off as his own. Why He did this is anyones guess.
But if as you say he's just a kid, and the worst he's done is tell a few porkies on a here (everyone tells the truth on here all the time? Really? seriously??), his "punishment" does seem unduly harsh in my opinion.

Inclined to agree with you about the harshness B00.
A few users did give him a rating out of 10 for 'his' poem, and also made favourable comments. Probably because he had encompassed his post with the words 'My aunt has just died and I wrote this for her' - coupled with his plagiarism, contributed to his downfall.
That is my view, rather than following Answerprancer's 'double standards running here.'

Thanks Zac, I wouldn't normally get that wound up. It just seems a shame to me that this was clearly a youngster bringing (mostly) original stuff to a bunch of adults he doesn't know.
Imagine for example you're in a school staffroom and a kid comes in to show everyone a painting hes done (which is clearly not 100% original) would you tell him "it's rubbish, now get out!" ?
