Fantastic news he has been found safe! WHat a lovely end to an awful story.

I was a bit confused as to the reports why the father and mother flew back to UK though... I mean.. wouldnt you stay in the country if your son was kidnapped?
is there more to this story than meets the eye - did they really leave Pakistan and fly back or just stay in hiding pretending - did the kidnappers maybe insist he leave the country?

All seemed odd to me - What do you lovely lot think?

It probably does seem odd to you because you seem unaware of the facts. The mother was never in Pakistan, she was in the UK all the time and was frequently seen on television.

There are details that have not yet been revealed. The father return to UK and shortly after a ransom was paid and the boy freed.
Tend to agree, nothing quite right.

It was once reported that the boy's dad and mum didn't get on with each other. This being the case the father took his wife's passport with him so that she could not follow, never heard anymore about this.

The whole story is too pat, what kidnappers don't take the obvious precautions that no one is setting up an ambush, when the ransom is picked up?

Where did the Dad get his hands on so much cash, when first he admitted he couldn't?

But if there is some kind of fiddle, the authorities will soon get on it, they have much more experience than us.

I remember reading that the Father was on his way back to UK.. then the next day they reported that his name was not on any flight name lists leaving the country.. then another boy is found and they think it is the kidnapped one.. then today he is on TV with his son.. and doesnt look exactly ecstatic about the find.. (The boy also had very very short hair.. like a skin head... did the kidnappers shave his head???)
I found it all a bit odd - and it made me wonder whether there was more to it than meets the eye - but you never know.. maybe the kidnappers insisted the father fly to the UK as a condition of the release???
Would be interested to hear how it pans out!
Perhaps the dad was hpoing to pocket £100,000.It seems odd to most people I think.
I agree, it stinks and another thing about all the arrest, ( I think 5 at the moment,) and looking for more, £108 thousand between them wouldn't be much considering the seriousness of the crime.

ah haaa.. Look!
"While Sahil was in captivity a phone call made from Spain had instructed the boy's father to travel to Manchester and then Paris, where police watched him hand over the cash in a public street."

Why on earth would the father do that??? The mother must be spitting blood about this all happening while she was stranded here!
It does whiff a little.
Kidnaps are quite common I think in the region, I understand that a colection was made for him.
£108,000 is a fortune in Pakistan.
Its an Asian family, women dont really get to say anything.
of there is more to this than at first meets the eye...............but I doubt we will hear all the details......will have to wait till a trial of the kidnappers I expect.
