wrong tap? fitted by Everest
2 Answers
Not sure where to post this question, so forgive me if I am in the wrong place. My mom had a new kitchen fitted by Everest 2 years ago. On the sink they put a Blancifiltra fresh tap. When I visited recently, I noticed the hot water was only just about coming out even when the tap was on full. She said it had always been like it but did not like to complain. (Considering the cost of the kitchen, I think she should have). I phoned the tap people as we thought there may be a fault with the tap and they said that this tap was for high pressure only, not gravity fed. It needs the hot water tank to be about 5 metres above the tap. My mum lives in a bungalow and the hot water tank in the airing cupboard is on the same level as the tap. The people who make the tap could not understand why it had been put in a bungalow. We phoned Everest and they sent a man round who just said mmmm aaah a lot. Said he would go back to the office and write a report which we are waiting the outcome of. The tap itself has a 10 year guarantee. Should Everest do something about this as it seems they have installed the wrong tap for the location? If they refuse to do anything, what should be our next step? Possible Trading Standards I thought under the "not fit for purpose" tag.
