I have long maintained that Labour and Europe are trying to wipe England from the map of Europe.
This report gives credence to my fears.
It is rather ironic that the British taxpayer are partly paying for it.

/// Shadow communities secretary Caroline Spelman said: “Labour ministers have already sought to replace England and its shires with government office region /// (Remember "3 Jags" failed referendum in the North East?)
/// Mats Persson, director of the Open Europe think tank, ///
/// Matthew Elliott, chief executive of the TaxPayers’ Alliance ///
I think I would rather take the word of these three, than that of jno, EDDIE51 or TCL-MUMPING

This myth seems to around as regularly as "why isn't there a Music of White Origin award?"
The Myth – the EU wants to force parts of Britain to become parts of the other EU countries, starting with Kent becoming part of France
The truth – another illustration of how these silly stories start. An EU programme called INTERREG was set up to help neighbouring regions in different countries work together to overcome common problems. One map showed the Transmanche region, of Kent, north-east France and Belgium. These areas share the English Channel and transport systems, so it makes sense for them to work together. A map of the scheme showed this group as a single area – and the myth was born that France was going to take over Kent!

INTERREG is about economic development across neighbouring regions.
Maps convey other things apart from political sovereignty you know.
Have you heard about the American plot in the 50' and 60's to annex the whole of europe?
They even made maps of this new country!
And they gave it a weird name. They wanted to call it 'Nato'!!!

Our influence in the world has decreased since we tagged onto the US administration. Why deal with the minnows when the people that make the real decisions are the other side of the pond. When it comes to UN resolutions we have to ask permission in which way to vote. Don't believe me? Then look up past resolutions where we have voted differently from the US.
What's the alternative? We could become Little Englanders. But then we have lost all credability. Or we could join with the EU in creating a major block equal to the EU, Russia or China in getting our voice heard. It would be a large step in creating a multi-polar world where our existance does not depend on an overbearing US.
