/// The hijab is worn by girls and women to observe Islamic dress code.///

Is it only Iran that fields a woman's team?

If not will the ban apply to all Muslim women's teams, no matter what country?

Perhaps the reason for this ban is two-fold in that it does help stamp out discrimination. If all religious symbols are banned, then no one's religious persuasions are perceptible - hence less enticement to discriminate
That's hardly the way to stamp out discrimination. Doesn't that mean the discriminators have won?

It's like stopping the bullying of a ginger child by forcing the child to dye his hair.

No, because although I was speculating on jno's post which referred to discrimination, the ruling wasn't determined on that basis, but on health on safety grounds. Anyway, I'll leave you to it now. I've said all I have to say on this subject.
Yes, it is only sensible that Governments should dictate what we can and cannot wear.

So in future, all the chaps will dress as Eric Pickles, and the ladies in the style of Ann Widdicombe. If we follow this dress code we will win the World Cup, our deficit will soon be paid off and teenage pregnancies will be a thing of the past.
