Can't get online through browser

I have just removed Fraud Antivirus from a friends computer after he accidentaly downloaded it . I use Spybot S & D . However after removing it I can no longer get online through a browser but I can get online with MSN.
My guess, & it is a guess is the virus altered something. Can somebody help please?

go to restore and click on the point before he installed it,

btw you cant uninstall a programme with spybot its a spyware remover
go to add remove in control panel to do that

If you still can't get online, Google and download "LSPFix", and check Windsock stack. Read instructions for this.
