You're welcome

congrats on Chelsea's win funnygirl :-)
The system is unfair:the Lib Dems have 23% of the vote but only 8% of the seats.

bob, within the system we have, then yes it is - is it moral overal, then I would say no, but then I would rather have gordon than that simpering nancy boy any day.
no, it isn't. Lib Dems have 23% of the vote but only 8% of the seats.
Ooops! Let's have PR and be done with it.
GB is double desperate to stay at no.10. He'd sell his soul to Lucifer in order to stay there.
I'd settle for ANYONE rather than Brown
Atilla the Hun?
Question Author
Bob this has happened in the past , Labour had more votes but the Tories had more seats. Was it OK then but not now ?
Zita, I agree. We have an archaic system that does not accurately represent the wishes of the population.
Annie, I would really rather not have a guy who looks like he's on the edge of a nervous breakdown at the helm of this country.
He is supposed to stay there in order for government to continue until a coalition is reached.
annie0000 Which party is he the leader of?
Fred, now it's not right back then just like it's not right now!

However, we have sat in Number 10, a delusional, lying moron, with all the political ability of a 5 year old dalmation, and all the integrity of Fred West!
Perfectly fair and perfectly democratic, though it grieves me to say so. If Brown had resigned on the spot the Queen would have had no alternative but to send for Cameron and invite him to form a government. This he would accept, but with no guarantee of being able to do so. If talks with opposition parties broke down he would be back at the palace within a few days with his tail between his legs, tendering his own resignation. Far better to let the whole unhappy scenario play itself out, so that when the Queens invites the next person to form a government he can do so with confidence.

truth hurts - you said anyone, you didn't specify they had to be the leader of a party!

bob, that's a bit harsh. He may lack social skills, but I understand that he is an exceptionally clever man with a wife and children who love him and at the end of the day, I believe that he had the nation's best interests at heart.
annie0000 You ARE talking about Brown? Or are you in fact, Mrs Brown?
My use of the pronoun "he" referred to the "next person the Queen invites to form a government", (who, unless you know something I don't, is expected to be male) i.e that person will be able to reassure HM on that point. It did not refer to HM directly. Read very carefully in future before you decide to jump down someone's throat.
Annie so "simpering nancy boy " is acceptable then?
However, you cannot deny the man is a liar. I will comment from my area of expertise (defence) and can tell you that the statements he has made ref: equipment and support to the military and the defence of the nation is balls.
