Flight United 93, sept 11 2001?

I remember hearing on the news at the time of the New York World Trade Centre attack in 2001 that the United 93 plane had been shot down. This quickly changed to the story we know today. Which story do you believe? Also I was thinking of watching the movie, has anyone ever seen it and is it any good?

There was so much going on that day that I think a lot of information was given out which turned out not to be correct, eg that Flight 93 had landed safely. I have no reason to disbelieve the official story that Flight 93 was brought down after action by the passengers, especially as people were listening in on mobile (cell) phone calls at the time.

The movie is excellent and well worth seeing. As far as the truth goes, who can say, depends upon which conspiracy theory is the most appealing. No-one can ever know for sure what happens when governments are in charge of the story being told, even in democracies.

Some of the debris was found about 6 miles from the main crash site which is interesting.

And the plane that hit pentagone managed to evaporate. That is even more interesting.

Actually... they said that the debris was found only a mile away, as the crow flies. By road it would be between 5 and 10 miles.

I would personally believe the witness accounts of those who were speaking to their loved ones on that stricken flight.

I think disintigrate is a more accurate word than evaporate - not surprising really considering the speed.

WTC building 7 collapsing on its own footprint (at freefall speed for a few seconds) becoming only the 3rd steel framed building ever to collapse due to fire (the 1st 2 being WTC 1 and 2) is quite thought provoking though. The only way it could reach freefall speed is if there was no resistance underneath it !

Not really.

Every other skyscraper on fire would have had fire fighting efforts reducing the effects. The emergency services would have been unable to do anything, so it is hardly surprising it went the same way as the twin towers.

The windsor tower in Madrid burned accross multiple floors in 2005 for 24 hours and did not totally collapse. Interesting.
