All the England players in the Community Shield were booed by so called England supporters.

only if you're not horsewhipping them; doing both at once might be unduly strenuous.

Of course they should not be booed under all circumstances, for instance if they are at a funeral, wedding, trip to the shops, washing the car etc. then they should be left alone.

On a football pitch, where they are playing football, in front of football fans then they are fair game. It's part of being a footballer and they know that. And when they retire at 35 to live a life of luxury a little bit of booing will be long forgotten.

They should take the rough with the smooth, be cheered when good and booed when bad.

Perhaps this could be the norm for all audiences, at all entertainment venues.

These sportsmen, actors, celebrities get very well paid, and their audiences pay alot of money to watch them preform, so they should take the flack when their performances are not up to scratch.

They didn't, so they got what they 'did' deserve, instead....

Considering how they're paid and treated, I thought the performances most of them gave at the world cup were disgraceful, so I'm glad they were booed.
