Do you have sympathy for Capello?

I have to say i do have a certain amount of sympathy for him...he certainly isnt the worst manager we have had by a long chanc.Granted the buck stops with the manager especially at £6m a year. He has tried to instill discipline in a team that for years was sorely lacking it. However his tactics at the world cup were questionable at best. I think that player power has reared its ugly head demonstrated by a number of players who have suddenly decided to 'retire' from international duty. Well good riddance to them hopefully they will never play for their country again if they have a change of heart, its obvious where their real loyalties lie. I feel Capello is a victimj of the system where so many foreign players are in the EPL that his options are limited so much so that to blood new talent he is looking at bringing in new talent that can't get regular 1st team places, Arseenal being a case in point.

Do we really think he actually cares how well England do?

The sooner our dismal failure at Euro 2012 is over the better then hopefully we'll appoint an Englishman who actually cares about his country and is not doing the job solely for the ludicrous salary he's been given
