Has anyone watched 'Toddlers and Tiaras'?/Child beauty pageants

It can't be good for a child's psychological state surely?
It makes them believe that it is more important to be beautiful than anything else, and to go to extremes to achieve perfection.
And if they don't win, they will believe they are not worthy.
