Fuel quality from supermarkets?
11 Answers
I recommended to a friend that they fill up there car at Asda's because it was more than 4p litre cheaper than the local BP, but they said the fuel from Asda's doesn't last as long as the fuel from BP. I laughed at this but they said it was true, that the fuel was of lesser quality and therefore did not last as long as other fuels such as texaco bp etc.......Are they talking out of there ar*e?

I get updates from petrolprices.com (my wife says i'm obsessed by it!)
At the moment asda has gone to 114.9 a litre for diesel, but any journey we do if we pass a garage i ask my wife what the price is then breath through my teeth and shake my head...but its more just to annoy my wife now!!!

all base petrol,no matter which outlet sells the product,is exactly the same.it is only the additive that determines the difference.the base fuel is loaded at the terminal, where the company in question ie.asda, tesco,bp,shell etc.have their own storage of additive.this is injected into the fuel at loading. each of us has our own opinions on maybe which one our car runs better on.
