depends what you mean by ugly - facial, or behaviour. The behaviour of some our drunken illmannered women does us no favours at all (witness the pic)

They don't have to be abroad to be a disgrace. Jeremy Kyle participants are disgraceful every weekday morning and every town and city in the UK has disgraceful ugly behaviour every weekend.

To all the Daily Mail hate brigade, this was a world wide poll, nothing to do with the Mail, they along with other papers only reported on it.

Incidentally Afghan women came top as the ugliest, perhaps that is why they wear the burka?

The website had a poll but there were only six options Spain, Germany, the UK, the USA, Turkey and Eastern Europe. I’ve no idea how Eastern Europe can be a country but I’ll let that pass. Checking the results just now, far from being the bottom, the Turkish women are now worst.

i was told that when abroad, well, in europe anyway that it is quite easy to spot a british woman as they tend to be an apple shape and carry quite alot of excess flab around the belly area. i think its true, a generalisation i know but ive tested it when looking round on the beach or by a pool for example when in spain. the european/hispanic diet with lots of fruit and veg, especially fruit for dessert and lots of nuts and olive oil i think contributes to a more slender figure.

When I`m walking down the street in New York I can tell who the British people are quite a lot of the time. They just have a `look` about them. I can`t describe what it is but it`s in the face. Sometimes I can tell if they are Northern or Southern as well. I always have to have a listen to the accent to see if I`m right.
By the way, I think mixed race people are the most striking looking
