What is signifiant is although the ABs so far are quick to impugn the author they have been unwilling to give their opinion on the question. I wonder why ?
Many years ago I was in charge of people who had commited atrocities and had been punished by the victims friends or relatives. The punishment had been very severe. Did they deserve it ?

okay i will answer...that letter is either the raving of a lunatic or a cynical attempt (but not a very good one) to manipulate public opinion. The author has made some general allegations and I don't know the facts of what is mentioned. Do I think that behaving in a bestial and inhumane way towards prisoners is a good idea? No I do not.

Yes it took a long time getting there and I agree with you .
I was in Germany after the war and we had ex-Nazis and SS officers working for us, some of whom had been subjected to horrific punishment by the Russians .
However if your wife and daughter is raped and murdered in front of you, how would you react ? Recite the Lords Prayer ?
To answer my own question yes we should care but we should also understand how these things can happen.

Now the problem here Modeller seems to be that you are accepting this story hook line and sinker with no acknowledgement that it's looking to be some sort of 'set-up'.
I hope you now understand from Woofgang's explanation what I was talking about.
Now, if you still think that the notion of this article being hoax/troll material is comparable to denying the holocaust then I suggest you are either 1) not being entirely honest or 2) still accepting the story blindly.
Then of course there's option #3: You are embarrassed because you've realised you've got it wrong and are causing a storm in a teacup and haven't worked out a way of backing out of it.

If you read the question it says Should we care ? The author of the letter says he/she Doesn't Care how the terrorists are treated because of their atrocities throughout the world .
So my question is asking, Do you think he/she is right or wrong ?
Should we care how our enemies are treated despite their atrocities.
Ap I compared your answer to the Holocaust because you used the the words dubious stories, There is nothing dubious about 9/11 or 7/7 or the barbaric killing of hostages. The author may not be who he/she claims to be but the basic facts are that the atrocities have taken place or do you deny that ?
