When Mars had something similar happen with a mouse's head they didnt get fined a penny because they could back up all their safety records and food hygiene practices with good record keeping and contractor visits.
I probably would have gone and got some sausage rolls or something I wouldnt have carried on making everyone sandwiches.

It was probably just a mischievous employee who couldn't resist the temptation to add the mouse to the bread.
When I was 16, I worked at a pork pie factory where there was a massive number of big hairy caterpillars on the bushes outside. We carefully ensured that one live caterpillar was added to the mixture in each of hundreds of Marks & Spencers pies ;-)
