You don't know her, Joe, so that isn't fair and ignorant comments like that make you an inverted snob. Whatever she is, she has a great advantage over those who don't care too much about successful communication in that everyone, no matter which part of the country they come from, can understand what she's saying.
I'm sorry joeluke that is very unfair, I have always been able to communicate without using swear words because if you have command of the English language you don't need to do it. Neither of my children's friends swear in front of me, as they know I don't like it, I am not a plum-gobbed snob, I went to an ordinary school and don't use a different form of talking when i am with friends, I also text, using real English including grammar.
Haggis when they attend a job interview, they are on their best behaviour, only when they are with their own age group will they revert to the yob-speak or whatever it is.
My daughter has a Yorkshire accent, but living and working in Buckinghamshire for almost 20 years she is still picked up on her Yorkshire accent. She now adopts 'Buckingham speech' when she is working. But still has her Yorkshire accent when she comes home.
