Hope that link works. They guy was injected with malaria for a drungs trial and never showed up to get the vaccine. He has now disappeared and police have warned he may have a very short time before the malaria kills him. Very strange story.

Something wrong here.........I cannot imagine any hospital ethics committee allowing a trial to be conducted that would involve giving live malaria parasites.

If live organisms were not used, then why would he be dead in 36hours.

I agree Squad. I don't know how long ago they gave him the malaria but you would have thought in a clinical trial if there was a chance you were going to be givin something that had potential to kill you, they would keep you as in in-patient until you had received the vaccine.

And assuming he knew the risks - which as a nurse particulary, you would think so then why hasn't he gone back to get the vaccine? His card has been used in different cities so you have to assume it is him using them.
