sandy that is the point they don't live on £60/120 there are numerous other benefits.
Rent or morgage interest , community charge , child benefit, and child tax credit .
free dental and optical expences, free prescriptions . You add that lot on top of the
£60/120 it can well exceed people working . We all ( except you it appears ) know of people who are abusing the system . Of cause we should support those in genuine need
but why should hard working people support the workshy ?

When any benefit is reduced it is substituted for another. If you come off unemployment benefit you can go on to job seekers allowance . If you get low paid work you get Income Support. . Eastern Europeans get all our benefits and they continue for 3 months after they return home. Asylum come here and can immediately claim benefits.
