Why the hardship for women, men have had to work until they were 65 for years, one more year should not hurt anyone seeing that unlike in the past, these days people live for many years after they retire.

I also believe that women once had the choice of retiring at 60 or working on till they were 65

Dotty, me too, the 40 years is well past! However I am very lucky that I still love my job and I want to carry on doing it for as long as they will have me. Could move jno, but I have only two years left to go on the mortgage so the end is in sight - the effort of moving (given that I have 4 floors full of Stuff, and I don't particularly want to move while I am in walking distance of work) is quite a deterrent. It would cost as much too to buy somewhere new - not really in the plan to move for now.

JL - I'm ignoring your bloke perspective thank you, you could go whistle if you lived in my house, my OH is an excellent cook.
Markrae.....your keyboard seems to be malfunctioning
And some men, Joe.

Mark... hola guapo! Como estás? Me gusta saber que tu convienes conmigo. ;-)
When men start having periods and giving birth to babies then they are allowed to criticise women.
No, it's called an education - nothing for you to concern yourself with...

I went to Wales once and found numerous ignorant locals who began to speak to you in English but as soon as they didn't want you to know what they were saying they spoke Welsh to each other

Ignorant barstewards
Hi Joeluke - I am a non-Welsh speaking Welsh person and I really hate it when they do that - it's so rude and ignorant. Or is it showing off?
JL, I used to work with a bloke like that - came from North Wales, he would ramble on in the office on the phone in Welsh, so nobody knew what he was talking about.
Markrae......I think you'll find it's called trying to be a smartar$e

It ain't big and it ain't clever
