Another interesting story courtesy of the 'FASCIST' Daily Mail.

If the Daily Mail was a 'fascist rag' as some have called it, would they have printed this story, which is more befitting The Guardian.

<<if it had been left to some on this site>>

but it wasn't was it so that's not really relevant is it?

What is relevant because it actually happened is that Wallace Simpson's seduction of Edward the closet-Nazi made it impossible for him to retain the crown and so removed a monarch who was predisposed to alliance with Hitler.
.
It was Noel Coward who said that a statue of Wallis Simpson should be erected in every town in gratitude for saving us from Edward VIII. Incidentally, he was never crowned king.

/// I wonder if some clever AB reader will help me identify this portly Gentleman with Herr Hitler.///

You know very well who he is Gromit.

At that time Hitler was the leader of the German nation, and as such would have received visits from many dignities, without any shame attached to it..

Schweinhund alert!
AOG, Rothermere wasn't a dignitary, he was a newspaper publisher, who was a supporter of the Nazis and went out of his way to meet the fuhrer.

Rothermere wrote to Adolf Hitler congratulating him for the annexation of Czechoslovakia in 1938, and encouraged him to march into Romania. He went on to note that Hitler's work was "great and superhuman".
