Commemoration of Remembrance Day
3 Answers
Hi folks.I went to church with my mother this Sunday morning for Remembrance
It was a wonderful service and we had the usual 2 minutes of silence at 11am.
Now, some of you may not like the following sad, haunting and mournful hymn song video link that I will post below. But, I really don't mind these kind of songs myself as I quite like them.I guess that may come across as somewhat strange to some of you.But hey, everyone has their own favourite kind of music and songs.
The song that I will provide has lyrics that always reminds me of all the brave troops of world war 1 and 2 who fought and died to protect our glorious country.
Such a sad shame that so many soldiers died in these two terrible wars, and this is the reason that I honour and respect them.
We should always remember them. Lest we forget.
The first link is The Last Post.....which I find very poignant.

and now for the hymn song.....sung beautifully by this young soloist, Michael Horncastle of Libera, of which I have CD's of.

This hymn below can also be sung on Remembrance Day. I Vow to Thee My Country. I love this hymn too!

The last post always brings a lump to my throat.
