in hopes that he would readjust to society and start working and paying tax, rather than being a burden on the taxpayer. This doesn't seem to have worked out and possibly never will, in his case. But the other offender hasn't caused any problems, so it was worth a try
Venebles has spent his formative years with bad parenting then prison. Its a reflexion on the prison reform system for Venebles to be re-offending. He hasn't known a normal upbringing most of us are blessed with.
He's not a rabid dog to be put down but he desperately needs counselling & help. I think it is the fault of the Probation System !
hmmm - I'm not sure about being treated with compassion. From what I've read about what they did to Bulger it showed an imagination for cruelty beyond their years, so I think punishment, first and foremost, was correct.
I think some people are inherently bad and beyond help, and it certainly appears that Venables is one of them.
