I think a big THANK YOU should be given to all of those people who are keeping the UK going under such extreme weather conditions

I have been out all day and was amazed how many people didn't bother with a 'thank you' to the Bus Driver who has inched his way around and got us safely to our destinations, there was a horrible woman , when she got on, snapped at him "Where's the number 43, I have been here ages" (Get a life stupid cow!)
The lorry drivers, the shop workers, ambulance people, home helps...
these people should all be thanked by everyone of us.

jubiana we have at least 2 ft of the stuff here, driving is hazardous and the roads are dangerous
Totally agree Bobbi. Some of us could get away with calling work and saying we can't get in but there are people like Nurses, Police, etc who don't have that option. We're lucky to have them around.
Thank you to the bin men who didn't come today.

My husbands life to me is a misery at the moment but he just says 'its my job' plus he goes back to a damp ridden caravan at night after 14hrs trekking through snow in the remotest places -to get me nipping his head at night-all to ensure that people have electricity. Its not often im proud of him but I am-just dont tell him:)
Well said, had a brilliant taxi driver to take me to the docs in a blizzard.

The bsu driver yesterday was the nicest I've ever met, and on time! And the a&e doctor down my road managed to get to work as he parked his car in a small carpark off of the main road . . .
thats nice Dris. Give him a big kiss tonight!
