The Concorde crash thread

I responded to this thread with a very old black-humour joke about the Air France captain and his German passengers. Gromit responded that this was sick as "most of the passengers were children"....and probably reported me, with the resultant effect that my answer was removed.

I would point out that his comment was totally erroneous and misleading; there were only 3 children on the plane that day - the rest were wealthy folk heading for a Caribbean cruise, so, given his wording, his/her reaction was totally OTT and that an apology is due to me (to which I am yet receive). I also mentioned that I am not condoning the tragedy of anybody, be it an adult passenger or a child - and also one must remember there were the crew and foilk caught out on the ground.

However, it is somewhat excessive to remove this joke - and quite frankly, 2/3rds of the humour page should be similarly removed on the basis of black humour. Therefore, I would suggest that this reply is reconstituted forthwith.
