One noticeable difference is that younger adults seem to view trade union membership as slightly dodgy and many firms discourage it. I agree that the way the large unions ran made it necessary for them to be curbed, but I see all around me now the exploitation of the most powerless on a huge scale. This doesn't contribute to our being a better country and it was definitely a change in zeitgeist born of Thatcher.

Isn´t that the function of their parents (who weren't Thatchers children) rather than that of Lady Thatcher...?

Sqad, most kids react against the attitudes of their parents as they reach teenage / young adulthood.
I think the beatniks and hippies whose kids were influenced in the 80's and early 90's saw them reject their standards and adopt new ones.

To some people Mrs T is the root of all evil, so she gets blamed for everything.

Could it be that after 13 years of Labour that hard working people now realise that too many people rely on state hand outs. Maggie didn't get everything right , no politician does, but she did believe in self relience and that working class people who were prepared to work should be supported.
