just checked out my local weather which during the last snowy weather my forecast was quite off here it kept saying snow but we didn't get any, only place in the uk that didn't I think i'm in south west cornwall right on the coast,

But its now saying snow or rain and snow starting from this friday onwards and the forecast range ends thurs 23 dec as STILL rain and snow???

Anyone else got this kind of forecast is it south west instead of north west this time getting the snow???

It can be scientifically proved (chaos theory) that, irrespective of any future advance in forecasting technology, it will never be possible to produce really accurate weather forecasts (for a particular area) for more than about 5 days in advance. So any forecast which claims to go further than that is only really looking at general trends and is bound to involve a fair bit of guesswork.

For what it's worth though, uk.weather.com suggests that your area will be starting to warm up a bit in the run up to Christmas:

Around here in East Anglia there seems to be a greater chance of snow:

Geordies might see a few snow flakes:

. . . as might Mancunians:

Snow falls don't look to particularly heavy in Edinburgh either:

I've just finished speaking to my son. He was present at a brief by a chap from the Met. Office yesterday.........so;
Bad weather fronts (the worst for 60 years) are expected as from *tomorrow*;
The isobars make Britain look pin-striped;
but most impressively we can expect Thunder Snow !!!
Thunder snow sounds like a weird superhero.
wow whats thunder snow

noooooooooooooooooooooooo rowan nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I think the first person to post that they have snow will be from Newcastle or possibly Lothian Borders, SE Scotland??
If Xmas weather is going to be that bad then there will be no Xmas in London as I will be snowed up. If the Train Strikes don't get me then the Snow will !!
Bet Bobbi will be back to post bout the snow ooop north
where are you in the Midlands fluff?
the headquarters of chavdom aka tamworth
we wont get any in brum rowan, maybe a flurry but temps will be mild at 3 celcius
fluffy already has snow on tap in tamworth (snowdome)
