tell the kids .?
third attempt to abduct a child and it is only when put on the front page of a free newspaper that people and kids at one of the schools find out what is going on
( My daughter goes to a Tameside Secondary School and when I asked her has she been told about these warnings she said no!! What's the point in sending the warnings if the schools are not passing them on to the children?)
i did. this is the second warning to schools in a month.
what am i missing? do you mean the 4 comments at the bottom?
i agree it would be alarmist (as saiddin the article) to tell the specifics of each incident to children. so generally 'be extra vigilant' and 'travel in groups' should suffice. either that or the kids weren't listening to their teachers (which is quite likely).
My boy was told to be vigilant 'at all times'..........not just when there was a particular scare.
If the teachers/adult staff had already been alerted to pay more attention to just who was hanging around near the school then the warnings had served their purpose.
it is better to catch the person now then have some poor child's body found in a ditch and then stick in on the front page.
all children should have been warned and all people should have known what vehicle this person drives.
all those extra eyes looking and checking
“I do not want to cause any undue alarm in the community but it is right that pupils and their parents should be warned so they can take extra steps to ensure they are safe.)
