I dont know,Standy...all i do know is that the DM has the highest circulation and readership of all the serious papers...so they must be doing something right...no pun intended...
Because admit it or not, everyone loves to be infuriated, outraged and generally irked to some degree whilst others like to ridicule, lambaste and generally feel superior.
The Daily Mail provide fodder for debates here on AB
My reasoning is no DM,no news section on AB...we would be lost without it.
You're not wrong WShee9
If only the guardian and the independent started liking the british public, instead of liking every country in the world who hate us they might get more respect and more readership....it aint rocket science...

Yeah, terrible isn't it. Do we really have to put up with this kind of stuff??

Why don't you counter-balance it by posting stories from a different newspaper? Blimey, if you carry on moaning like that, we could be forgiven for thinking you're one of those outraged Daily Mail readers!

Ludwig, that first link you gave will be an eye opener for some.
Is there a full stop shortage?
Yes, interesting isn't it Naomi. I might check out the Xmasisevil.com website later. I don't normally look at the Mail but was inspired to do so by this question.
because how else would you be able to remember all the things that give you cancer?

Exactly jno - if we didn't have the Mail, we'd have no idea what it is we're supposed to be outraged and depressed about every day.
The Daily Mail website is the most viewed Newspaper website in the UK. Although I don't like the content, it does what it does extremely well.

The Mail also knows its readership and satiates its needs Daily. If you are outside its demographic, it looks extreme and alarmist. I do however, dislike how it misinforms and enforces false beliefs. An example of this yesterday, we had one Daily Mail reader declare
// "a huge majority of all Muslim youth are fundamentalist and therefore potential terrorists" //
He offered reports in the Daily Mail as evidence, bless him.
