Flowers by post
I received flowers by post yesterday from an elderly friend in Gloucestershire. They had been posted the previous day in the Channel Islands.
The packaging was first class but the flowers inside were rubbish, not worth half the price that my friend had paid. I put the bunch in water with the solution provided to make them last longer. Some of them were already wilting and others had broken stems. They're even sadder today and will certainly not last much longer. The vase is in a corner of the kitchen where (hopefully) nobody will see them. I looked on the company's website and saw the arrangement pictured there and the cost paid. I could have purchased five or six nice arrangements from my local Tesco for the total price paid.
I e-mailed the company to complain on behalf of the sender. What do I do now? Should I tell my friend when I next write or keep quiet? I don't want her to waste her money on this sort of gift to me or anyone else in the future. She was definitely conned.
