After the previous post with its sad story, this one, with it's happy ending made me smile, it reminded me of Max my GSD when he was a pup he had to have his nose into everything

One morning in 1980 my brother and I were wakened by the noise of our new puppy banging his head (which was wedged in the vase) against a wall. We tried smearing margarine etc on him and nothing worked. I had to get one of the neighbours to 'chisel' him out. Mum wasn't impressed.
Hutch was half a german shepherd and half a bull-mastiff - and he was like Houdini too. He was a big soft lump and looked like Scooby Doo. I still miss him.

What I hate about cats (one of many things) is that they don't show any appreciation for being rescued from the stupid situations that they find themselves in.
I remember my old cat George getting his claws stuck when he was shredding the side of my mattress. He'd been stuck for a few minutes before I found him and was getting rattled - when I was trying to get him undone (clearly not moving fast enough) he stuck his teeth in my hand. When I eventually released him he just stomped off muttering to himself. I had to go to the doctor for an infected bite - yet again.
