Okay this guy is just being questioned at the moment but you must admit he certainly looks dodgy and this got me thinking about many other past serial killers, rapists and paedophiles that after they're apprehended and you see their photo's you always think aah yes he definitely looks suspicious. Will the police one day maybe use this facial recognition software to make a link with certain facial expressions or features to keep an eye on suspected criminals before they commit a crime?

My ex english and drama teacher said that he once taught a boy that he knew would end up doing something terrible, even though he wasn't a bad student. 10 years later, he saw the man in the news, being arrested for murder . . . .

In a police mugshot, you are not only tired and dishevelled but frightened, anxious, stressed and panicking, whether you are guilty or innocent.
That man was very well thought of at the school he taught at.
He hasn't been found guilty, so is still innocent.

I've neevr heard another teacher telling a story like that. One said how he used to teach someone who became a murderer but didn't say that they knew they would do something like that when they knew them.

We are obviously going about crime prevention the wrong way here, relying as we do on evidence rather than hearsay, or forensic science rather than someones looks.

What we should do instead - and it would be infinitely cheaper - is to shut all that sort of stuff down saving a fortune, and just get the police to employ Kriistine instead. We could then have a kind of national identity parade, and we could arrest and jail all those that Kriistine identified as shifty or suspicious for murder and or paedophilia.
