The United States of America have built a 650-mile long barrier bristling with CCTV and radar surveillance backed up by armed patrols and predator drones.

We have got a natural barrier, (the English Channel) but still can't keep illegals out.

But wait until Turkey is accepted into the EU, Greece will not have to worry any more, the Turks (or will that soon become the 'T' word?) will all be heading for these shores.

I can't see Turkey being admitted into the EU. Germany will put a block on it as they have over 4 million Turks working there on cheap labour with no German citizenship.

I wonder how high the wall will be. Maybe if its as high as the one on the Israeli border it may stop a few. But every so often you must have entrances manned by guards. Can you imagine the bribes that go on to gain access.
