Well, it might seem that way Jake - but you can hardly deny that whatever the political subject your posts are always .... now what shall we say? .... or yes .... just a little biased. I think I may have mentioned that before. ;o)

I'm not sure that anyone can be truely objective in politics - infact I'm not sure that such a thing even exists.

There does seem to be a lot of right and centre right posters on news so sometimes I do feel obliged to put the centre left view.

Still funny isn't it whenever the matter of affairs in politics come up someone will always say -"Yes but what about John Major and Edwina Curry"

And we all go "Yes who would have guessed - what would the papers have given for that one!!!"

If Alan Johnson HAS resigned to work on his marriage, then that makes him one of the most honourable MPs in the house. There's no indication so far that he has done anything to be ashamed of.

Edwina Curry and John Major was (and still is) a shock because it was so unlikely, like finding out that the Queen Mum used to shack up with Brian Poole and the Tremeloes.

Silly answer. If I want a new boiler I get a heating engineer who has learnt the job .
I don't employ someone whose only qualification is being in my union or a member of my party.
If I want a Cabinet Minister I want someone who knows the job and can argue in an informed educated manner with other members of the house .
Now you know all this so why make silly irrelevant remarks. Ed Balls has the required skills and should make an excellent shadow chancellor . Do you disagree with him doing the job ?
Maybe a brickies labourer would be your preference but some have degrees so maybe you would disqualify them .

I'm sorry for Alan Johnson, I think his mind has been on this problem when he slipped up on TV last week. It must be a difficult decision to give up a high flying career to concentrate on his marriage, Whats to concentrate after the stable door has closed?
Although It happens all the time, I coulldn't believe John Prescott, that fat tub of lard could manage to get his leg over, it just shows you what how fame attracts some stupid females.
